Remember your teenage years? Hormonal shifts that come with adolescence can be especially tough. Establishing a healthy foundation for your teen during this transition is important. Doing so can drastically relieve emotional instability, mood swings, anxiety, and feelings of hopelessness. Physical wellness is key for emotional health and release at any age, however even more so for teenagers. Their body is undergoing changes that require a healthy diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Daily physical activity activates endorphins which offers all of us a positive outlook on life! In Nia, we integrate the mind~body~spirit~emotions for a unique whole-body experience offering all ages to enjoy moving in their body at every stage in their life! This month we are headed to Granite City Library for Nia Teenz wellness! Nia Teenz is a wonderful way for teenagers to step away from the fast-pace world, let go of their worries and self-doubt, and express themselves in mindful movement that feels good from the inside~out!

"For every physical response there's a feeling. As you open up parts of your body, you may tap into feelings you've locked deep inside. Movement is wonderful therapy in this way."
