It's called Nia (nee-ah) ! Nia is a sensory-based movement & lifestyle practice that blends Martial Arts, Dance Arts, and Healing Arts within dynamic routines set to music. Classes are guided by Licensed Nia Instructors promoting moving in pleasure, "The Body's Way". No torquing, pounding, or fatigue with Nia. It's low-impact movements encourage maximum efficiency with minimal effort. You get the whole workout package in one class! You don't have to be a kick-boxer, dancer, or yogi to enjoy the many benefits Nia has to offer. Nia instructors model three levels of intensity that best suit your personal needs. Seasoned athletes to gentle movers will increase flexibility, agility, mobility, strength, and stability, as well as gain an amazing cardio workout!
All body-types, physical abilities, and levels of fitness are encouraged to experience the many healthy benefits. Nia in the chair is modeled and available for those seeking additional assistance.
