There's something about stepping into a space that welcomes you to tap into your wild side. The wild side that allows you to throw caution to the wind. To be. To feel child-like again. No inhibitions. No judgement. No doubt. Laugh, cheer, call out, sing. . . however the spirit moves you on any given day. . . Welcome to the Nia wellness, fitness, and lifestyle practice!
Your first instinct when stepping into any new fitness class may be fear of the unknown. Can I keep up? Am I good enough? What if others see that I'm not coordinated, can't move well, or can't dance worth a lick. Let us alleviate any internal dialogue that might take place when contemplating joining a Nia class. The primary goal of Nia instructors is to create a warm, welcoming space for all to let go, tap into the body's own natural time and tempo, and lead holistic classes that emphasize moving in pleasure while stimulating and conditioning the mind, body, spirit, and emotions. With a positive, upbeat leader encouraging you to be uniquely yourself, the class vibe promotes love, compassion, acceptance, and motivation within the community of participants. Yes you will receive amazing total-body conditioning! Yes it is a workout! Yes you will lengthen, strengthen, tone, and tighten! Yes you will gain flexibility, agility, mobility, and stability! Yes you will give your heart a real workout! Yes you will relax, meditate, and rejuvenate! It's the whole ball of wax in one dynamic class!
So what are you waiting for? Step into a new way of thinking about your wellness. Focus on living in pleasure and playfulness. Have fun and dance through life. We welcome you to join us; all levels of fitness from gentle movers to athletes, all ages from children to seniors, all physical abilities from those seeking additional assistance from chairs to those standing on two feet. Nia is for you! Nia is for all! Now is the time to let your hair down and enjoy your wellness & fitness path.

"For every physical response there's a feeling. As you open up parts of your body, you may tap into feelings you've locked deep inside. Movement is wonderful therapy in this way."
